Either for managers and managed staff, participants view and feedback on scripted examples of good and bad performance management. Using prepared briefs written in consultation with the client group, each of the participants practice their review skills with characters that pose certain challenges.

Ideal for groups of 10-20 staff.

The aim of the workshop is to develop and improve methodology within set review processes by: exploring preparation through to follow-up procedures; by learning to constructively identify strengths and weaknesses; by practicing effective two-way communication and by enhancing motivation.

The scripted examples and briefs are based either on typical or unusual scenarios and individuals. Learning takes place in groups or in plenary depending on numbers. Workbooks present a model for performance reviews and offer explicit guidance. The sessions work well with a diverse group, allowing experiences to be shared and a common understanding to be gained.
